| You continue along the path that Saturn directs you down, away from the vortex. Crystal-plasma still adonrs the oddly dark trees, slowly cascading down the branches. You think to yourself that it looks as though they are waterfalls in some alternate universe, where time has been slowed. The forest is quiet, though you can still faintly hear the ethereal hum of the swirling whirlwing somewhere behind you. For a few moments, you wonder what venturing into the abyss would have been like. The thought doesn't necessarily make you uneasy, rather, it just brings about questions regarding the unknown. A slight rustling catches your attention. Looking in the direction of the sound, you see a shocai peering back. He keeps his distance, obviously shy. His quietness and guarded presence suits this odd forest, and his ligher coloring serves to compliment the near-black of the trees. |
