| The path winds through the grassy areas; trees are farther off to either side of you. You realize that you're descending into a valley of sorts, and up ahead, you think you can see a small house. You realize that you're quite overdue for a good rest, and maybe a bit of food, so you speed up at the sight of the small building. As you trot onwards, the land around you grows tamer, with small, cultivated gardens bordering the path. Some contain flowers, others have vegetables, and in some grow various herbs. You don't stop to admire any of the little patches of plants, though, as you are very eager to see if hospitality awaits you at the little house up ahead. You finally reach it, and are greeted by small meow. Looking over, you see that a small, purple cat is stretched out on one of the porch railings. You can't resist, you walk over to the purple cat to pet it. |

As you are petting the cat, the door of the little house opens. You turn, and find yourself looking at a tall woman, dressed simply in a leather tunic and a black skirt. "Greetings, visitor! I am Theoni, and the hunter cat you're petting is Pia." Theoni pauses. "I'd imagine you're in need of a break from walking, so come right in!." She turns to look at the purple cat. "Pia, let the visitor come inside." As you follow Theoni inside, Pia rises and stretches, jumping down to follow you in. Once inside, you are greeted by a second cat, this one gray and striped.  "That's Searlas," Theoni informs you. You greet the gray cat, and Theoni gives you a quick tour of the small house, showing you a room where you can rest and sleep if you so choose, before leading you back into the kitchen. The woman seems rather pleased to have company, and you feel right at home. As you sit down at the wooden kitchen table, both cats jump up, vying for your attention, before Theoni shoos them off with an exasperated sigh. "Veselin's the only one with any manners what-so-ever..." You ask who Veselin is, and Theoni points out a third cat, whom you had not previously noticed. His sits regally on the windowsill, looking friendly enough, but not eager to come over to the table.  Theoni places a platter of fruits and vegetables in front of you, and you eat your fill before resting up. Finally, you decide you are ready to leave.
