Fire Trail

The trees are definitely purple now, and green has become the minority as far as colors go. The bark shimmers, softly metallic and looking as though it has been coated with a fine violet dust. The leaves are downright iridescent, relecting the light in prisms of color here and there. Tiny flowers grow on the trees as well, and the petals are downright sparkly. It's quite pretty, and much like some land out of a tale.

Saturn walks with you, silent. Soon enough, however, you find yourself in a clearing. The clearing in itself is quite remarkable, but more so are the unicorns standing within it.

"This is Tear Sorrow," Saturn says, a bit more quietly than she usually talks. She gestures to the first equine. "She's an Asrire unicorn. The Kiezo Flit with her is Lai, which means future."

Tear Sorrow looks in your direction and nods, but says nothing. The Kiezo flit greets you cheerfully, however. She then turns back to the Asrire, and resumes what she had been doing before you came- chattering away.

The other unicorn has trotted right up to you.

"I am Nature's Balance," she tells you, and executes a graceful bow of sorts. "It is a lovely day, wouldn't you agree?" You agree. Nature's Balance definitely seems much more cheerful than her companion, Tear Sorrow. As Nature's Balance trots away to drink from the small pool, Saturn explains.

"Each unicorn, shortly after birth, must travel through the Shadow Realm. Each comes out of this realm after having different experiences, not all of which are good." This would explain the two varying personalities of the Asrire unicorns in the clearing. "Tear Sorrow is a bit quiet, but she always appreciates visitors stopping by for a bit." Saturn smiles a bit. "I'm not sure whether or not she enjoys Lai's company, as she's too polite to truthfully say, but Lai refuses to leave Tear's side. Rather cute."

Tear Sorrow, overhearing this, snorts. Lai either doesn't hear it, or chooses to ignore it.

"Nature's Balance, of course, openly enjoys visitors." The mare prances happily a bit, looking over to where you and Saturn stand.

As Saturn lapses into silence, you finally get a chance too look around the... well, you guess it could be called a meadow, and it's quite large. One section is of grass nearly a third of your height. Another corner is sand- silver sand, that looks more like the dust of the precious metal than actual sand. The center of the... meadow... is a light blue moss, with the very middle being a small pond.

"Magically altered," Saturn explains simply. "They prefer it this way."

You nod, and then decide to wander onwards.
